The Linq, the open-air entertainment and dining district coming soon to the middle of the Las Vegas Strip, has a lot going for it. For one, it will have a giant Ferris wheel, the High Roller.

One of the partnerships announced for The Linq was a branch of Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum. Now, we’re hearing that deal isn’t going to happen.

Inquiries with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have gone unanswered, and a rep for Caesars Entertainment, the company behind The Linq, has offered up a resounding “no comment,” which to us sounds a lot like, “D’oh!”

Even as recently as July, company executives were talking up the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s new spot at The Linq. We’re not sure exactly what happened, since all we have are rumors and hearsay to go on, but when has that ever stopped us?

We hope to learn more about if and how this deal may have gone south, but we predict details won’t be discussed publicly. There’s still a lot going on at The Linq, expected to open (at least in part) by the end of 2013.
